You’re about to do a voice interview with Kira, an AI interview assistant, on behalf of the company you’re applying to. This page explains — in plain words — what you’re agreeing to when you press “Agree and continue”.

You reached this interview through a personal link or a code we emailed you. That step only confirms the email address is yours; it doesn’t tell us who is speaking.

You’ll be talking with an AI

Kira is software, not a person. It asks the questions the hiring team prepared, listens to your answers, and asks short follow-ups when something is unclear. It’s a voice conversation only — there is no video and no camera access.

Your interview is recorded

The audio of the conversation is recorded and turned into a written transcript. Both are saved so the hiring team can listen to your answers in your own words. Along with your name and email, that’s the personal data the interview itself collects. Like any website, Kira also records basic technical data — such as your IP address and browser — to keep the service running and secure; the privacy policy has the detail.

A small team at Kira-AI — the company that runs the interview software — may also review recordings, transcripts and any scores. They do this only to check the quality of Kira’s interviews and scoring, or to help with a support problem. Every such review is logged, and it’s never used for anything else.

What the hiring team gets — people decide

After the interview, the hiring team gets your recording, a transcript, and your answers laid out by question. If they set scoring criteria for this role, Kira also drafts suggested scores against them — these are only suggestions. Kira never rejects anyone; real people at the company make every hiring decision.

What Kira never does

• No video and no facial analysis — it’s audio only.
• No emotion, personality, or “tone of voice” analysis. Kira only evaluates the content of your answers.
• No lie detection, and no scoring of accents or speech patterns.
• Your answers are not used to advertise to you or sold to anyone.

Your recording, your rights

The company you’re applying to controls your interview data; Kira-AI stores and processes it on their behalf. It’s kept until the company deletes it. You can ask at any time to hear your recording, get a copy, or have it deleted — contact the company directly, or email support@getkira.com and we’ll help. Deleting an interview removes the audio, the transcript, and every score built on them.

You can stop at any time

The interview is voluntary. You can skip a question by saying so. If you close the page or lose your connection, you can come back and pick up where you left off; to stop for good, use End interview — the answers you already gave stay with the company.
